La Famiglia

This is a collaborative painting between members of my family. My sister Pamela and my parents came up to visit us to see the "Prismatic" exhibition that featured my paintings at the Louden House (Lexington Art League). This was the first time in probably 5 years since they had been up to Lexington, and in celebration of the wonderful time we shared together, we decided to do a joint painting. I layed down a grid of black lines, and each of us, along with my wife Sarah and daughter Julia, took it in turn to fill in the grid. We decided that Pamela would have the painting, so we left the choice of colors to her, and she chose golds, silvers and neutrals. She named it "La Famiglia" in honor of family.
